Smith Lake Pups Maltipoos

I absolutely adore our Maltipoos — they’re tiny, joyful little companions with the biggest hearts. All of our F1 Maltipoo puppies are thoughtfully bred from a 100% purebred Maltese and a 100% purebred Toy or Miniature Poodle. This pairing creates puppies that are affectionate, playful, and wonderfully people-oriented, making them such a special addition to the right family.

The Maltipoo puppies you see below are currently still with us, receiving their final touches, lots of love, and thorough veterinary checks to ensure they’re healthy and thriving. Outside of extenuating circumstances, we anticipate each puppy will be ready to go home on the pickup dates listed below. I truly believe these early weeks make all the difference, and we take that responsibility to heart.

Raising Yorkies is truly a joy, and it’s an honor to help place these sweet, spirited puppies into homes where they’ll be loved for a lifetime. If you have any questions or would like help deciding if a Yorkie is the right fit for your family, I’m always happy to help.

A Little More About Our Maltipoos

Cavapoo - a mix between a poodle and a purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Maltipoos are a delightful mix of charm, personality, and companionship. They are known for being playful, funny, and incredibly loving, and they tend to bond deeply with their families. Maltipoos usually do wonderfully with children, rarely meet strangers they don’t like, and genuinely love being with people.

One of the things I hear most from families is how calm and cuddly their Cavapoo is. They aren’t big barkers, they’re incredibly affectionate, and they truly thrive on being close to the people they love. Whether it’s playtime or snuggle time, Cavapoos just want to be part of your world.

Why Families Love Maltipoos

(As with any puppy, individual traits can vary, but these characteristics are very common within the breed.)

There are so many reasons Cavapoos steal hearts so quickly. One of the biggest advantages is hybrid vigor, which often results in a healthier dog overall. Their coats are typically low-shedding and considered allergy-friendly for many families, making them a popular choice for homes with sensitivities.

They’re often happiest curled up in a lap, following you from room to room, or joining in on family activities. Maltipoos thrive on affection and attention, and their joyful, snuggly nature makes them a favorite for families looking for a devoted companion.

The Maltipoo Personality

Maltipoos truly bring together two incredible breeds. Maltese are known for being loving, gentle, and loyal. They are famously social lap dogs who adore being close to their people, and that affectionate nature often shines through in Maltipoos. Maltipoos truly bring together two incredible breeds. Together, this combination creates a puppy that is loving, trusting, intelligent, and deeply people-focused. Maltipoos are not known for aggression, are very patient with children, tend to be calm and quiet, and — yes — they absolutely love to cuddle.

Maltipoo Care & Maintenance

Maltipoo maintenance depends on the type of coat your puppy inherits. Because Maltese shed more than Poodles, Maltipoos can range from low-shedding to non-shedding depending on their genetics. Regular grooming is important to keep their coats healthy and comfortable.

Most Maltipoos will need weekly brushing to prevent tangles and mats, especially since their coats can knot easily. Puppies with curlier, more Poodle-like coats may need brushing more frequently. Regular nail trims are also important, and several times a year, professional grooming will help keep their coat neat and manageable.

Typical Maltipoo Colors

Maltipoo colors can vary from litter to litter, which is part of what makes each puppy so unique. At Smith Lake Pups, our most common Maltipoo colors range from White to Cream, Apricot, Black, Black & White, and White & Liver. Every puppy has their own special look, and their coloring only adds to their charm.
